A good opener isn't just about convenience. It keeps the door secure with rolling-code remotes, stops and reverses if something is in the way, and can keep working through a power outage with battery backup.
Which Type of Opener Is Right for You?
Belt drive
A reinforced rubber belt makes it the quietest common option. Best for attached garages and rooms above.
Chain drive
The most common and economical type; strong and reliable but louder. Good for detached garages.
Direct drive
The motor travels along a fixed chain; quiet with very few moving parts.
Wall-mount (jackshaft / side-mount)
Installed beside the door on the spring shaft, freeing the ceiling. Ideal for low, obstructed or very high ceilings and for garages with car lifts.
Smart Garage Door Openers
Wi-Fi openers connect to your home network so you can open, close and check the door from your phone, get alerts if it's left open and give one-time access to deliveries or trades. Most LiftMaster and Chamberlain models use the myQ app; some also work with smart-home platforms through add-on bridges. We'll recommend the setup that fits your home.

We install LiftMaster, Chamberlain and Linear. We also service LiftMaster, Chamberlain, myQ-equipped openers, Linear, Genie, Craftsman (Sears), Marantec, Ryobi, Skylink and more.
